January 16th 2020: Take a bath

I rarely take baths, they seem like too much work for their worth and the water gets cold too fast. However, I made the bath I took tonight feel more like a spa trip. (I've literally never been to a spa, so it's my lame version of one)

I started off by lighting candles. Dry brushed my skin, which I don't do often enough, frankly because it sucks, I mean- it's good for you, but ouch. I added Epsom salts, baking soda, vitamin E oil, and some peppermint oil to the bath water. I soaked in there for a while before putting on a hair mask and a shower cap. I followed that up with with rubbing a mask all over my face. I took some flattering pictures, then sat there wondering why my water was already cold and waited for the masks to do their magic.

It didn't take long for me to be sick of being cold and bored so I drained the water and remembered I made an exfoliant of sugar and oils. I rubbed that all over until my hands felt like they were vibrating (next time I'll remember gloves). I quickly showered off the sugar, the face mask, and hair mask.

It felt nice to pamper myself. I never do my masks unless they're the kind that I can just rub in afterwards. This was the perfect opportunity to do the things I normally feel are too time consuming or hard to do in the shower. I still don't like baths, but it is nice to feel like you jammed a spa trip into about 30 minutes of alone time without leaving the house or talking to anyone. Plus my hair and skin feel so healthy.
