With everything going on in the world today, it hasn't been easy to find the positive side of situations. This pandemic has brought out the worst in a lot of people, greed has people hoarding excessive amounts of supplies. Fear has made people crazy. It's been difficult to find basic sanitation supplies or food, I had to go to multiple stores just to complete a grocery trip. I did my best to get a two week supply for a worst case scenario but by no means would I consider it a greedy hoard. I see no point in people buying a years supply of anything in one trip to the store. Back to the point of this, I was meant to find the positive in life and feel the luck run through me. It was meant to be a nod to St. Patrick's day and the luck of the Irish.
I would consider myself lucky, I am a stay at home mom in a time where working parents have to scramble to find childcare. I was able to buy a two week supply of food and medicines on short notice, and increase my grocery budget to include meals for my child being home and unmedicated, which means he would have a huge appetite to fill. I'm lucky to have bought toilet paper and paper towels before they became something worth fighting over, and will hopefully have enough until they're back in a steady stock. Of all the things to stress and worry about right now, let's make sure we're also taking time to appreciate what we have and how lucky we actually are. There's always a positive side, sometimes you just have to dig a little to see it.
